Do you remember when you hit that life-changing milestone and turned 18? If I sit-down, close my eyes and concentrate really hard I can just about.......nope it's gone. I think a pub may have been involved at some point. Anyway, the point is I wish I had some pictures to help me remember the day I became an adult (well, legally anyway, it didn't happen officially until around my mid-30's, some would say it still hasn't happened).
When I'm not photographing weddings or families I have, on occasions, been known to photograph an 18th Birthday Party. Now these types of events are different to my usual fare as these are energy filled, noisy, cool and ever so slightly crazy. The best thing though is everyone wants their picture taken with their friends, a snapshot of their night and, as I make sure I'm right in the thick of the action, I always come away with loads of really fun, natural pictures that capture the atmosphere of the party not to mention a pair of ringing ears!
